As this verse testifies, even back in the days of ancient Israel, believers were encouraged to praise God not just with words, but with songs and music. The whole congregation at Faith sings hymns and praises with enthusiasm. The Faith choir is scheduled to sing in Sunday worship at least once each month and often performs for special services. We gather every Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. to practice selections for upcoming services. At Christmas a cantata is chosen to be performed on a Sunday in Advent.

We strive to achieve what Johann Sebastian Bach, a staunch Lutheran and arguably the greatest composer in the history of Western music once said:

“The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.”
